Charming stone period cottage with its own pretty private walled garden. Conveniently situated just off the centre of this distinctive and historic town of Colyton.   Art galleries, antiques, local rural crafts, inns and small restaurants are all nearby. So is the famous tramway offering journeys along the beautiful valley of the River Axe from Colyton to Seaton, with spectacular beach (by road 3 miles away). 

Also within easy reach of coasts at Lyme Regis, Beer and Sidmouth.

Accommodation: Well presented. Comfortably furnished.

Lounge, TV.  DVD.  Video.  Dining area, with exposed beams, door to rear enclosed garden.  Well fitted Kitchen with table and chairs, Electric oven and hob.  Microwave.  Fridge with ice box.  Washing machine.  Second Sitting Room with 4'6" convertible settee, leading to en-suite Shower Room: basin, WC.  Original cottage style staircase to FIRST FLOOR  Bedroom 1: Double.  Bedroom 2: Two single beds.  Small Bedroom 3:  Folding bed with duvet and pillows are available, please bring own bed linen if required.  Bathroom: Bath, basin, WC. 

Facilities: Bed linen inclusive.  Please bring own towels.  Electricity/gas/central heating inclusive.  Free wi-fi.

Outdoor Facilities: Attractive enclosed walled rear garden.  Garden furniture.

Parking:  Garage (for small cars - restricted entrance) and off-street parking + adjacent parking in street.

Additional Information:  Pets welcome, a fixed charge of  £25 pw or part week per pet.   No smoking in property please.  Arrival from 3 pm  Departure by 10 am.

 

Short Breaks:These are available between October and March excluding school and Bank Holidays.

Sept 2017  Our second visit to this cottage we met with stormy weather so it was good to come home to a cosy and well equipped cottage at the end of the day. 29 July 2017  We all had a wonderful holiday. The cottage is a delightful place to be. We all look forward to our next holiday in The Malt House.  The Walsh and Gassor families.

August 2016  We had such a marvellous time here. The Malt House was a good and comfortable home with everything one would need. It was great to have breakfast outside in the garden, in the evening we enjoyed some of the movies on DVD (which is a very good collection by the way).  We had very nice day trips to Dartmoor, Beer, a country fair and we enjoyed a perfect sunny day at Sidmouth, at Jacobs Ladder beach, a great place to stay.
