An idyllic detached character chalet bungalow, situated in an elevated position, in beautiful Devon countryside, set in a peaceful country lane in the picturesque village of Axmouth. A 10-minute walk down to the two popular local inns in the village and river.
Well-fitted and furnished with care to a good standard, light, bright and airy.

Large grassed garden, not totally enlcosed, with varying levels/terraces and areas including a patio with table and chairs, small ponds and stream, (care with children).
NB: Children and pets need to be supervised at all times.
Parking: Restricted space for two standard size parked cars, off lane, in front of garage and side. Please note one car may partly block the other car in, depending on its size and angle of parking.
Saturday changeover. Arrival: From 3pm. Departure by 10am. Pets most welcome £25 pw or part week per pet. Access information available on request.
Location and Area:
A lovely level mile long walk along the riverside to the pretty Axe Harbour, magnificent mile long beach with Esplanade, with views to the cliffs and Jurassic coastline, golf course and all amenities of Seaton. The local shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and pubs are all to hand. Travel on the famous Seaton tramway along the Axe Valley passing Seaton Marshes and Nature Reserves stopping off at Colyford and the small market town of Colyton.
Just a short walk to the South West Coast Path, in one direction to the picturesque fishing village of Beer, a little further to Branscombe and in the opposite direction to Lyme Regis with famous Cobb and excellent selection of specialist shops.
The famous Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall River Cottage Canteen at Axminster is under a 15-minute drive.
A perfect base to explore this interesting stunning area on the Devon/Dorset border.
Lovely Property in a stunning location. Situated at the top of the hill, on the edge of Axmouth, this well-equipped bungalow provides the best of all worlds. It is secluded and private but at the same time it’s easy to walk to the local village pub (5 min down the hill) or even into the local seaside town of Seaton (a 20 minute stroll along the coastal path). The walks around here are terrific, the scenery wonderful. Beer, Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Sidmouth are all minutes away by car. For me, I could kick around on the local beaches with a geology hammer or a fishing rod forever …perfect. July 2018
The cottage Atlasta offers apart from the immediate beach nearby (on foot about 25 minutes, by car about 5 minutes) everything you could expect from a stay in the south of England. Cozy and comfortable furnishings, a great garden, idyllic location on the outskirts, within walking distance of the South West Coast Path and two recommended pubs. In the house you just have to do without a dishwasher, which should not be a problem. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about the facilities. The conservatory-like combination of kitchen and dining room already allows for a great view over the green hills of Devon. Wild pheasants appearing in the garden every now and again seem like decoration and should not be just fascinating for small children. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms ensure that older children (as in our case) can sometimes “chill out”. For the garden there is simple but practical furniture. Given the early summer temperatures, we did not need a fireplace. This should provide additional comfort in colder seasons. Several sections of the coastal path in the vicinity offer great views and in good weather at the end always a beach. Also you can reach a large Tesco supermarket in Seaton. All in all, the cottage Atlasta is highly recommended, the house and surroundings are definitely worth a visit. May 2018
Lovely comfortable tranquil cottage, stunning views and fantastic garden wildlife. Loved staying in this cottage looking at the stunning rolling hills filled with sheep & lambs. The pretty little streams and waterfall in the primrose filled gardens and waking up to the beautiful pheasants peeking through the windows every day. The cottage had everything we needed, comfortable beds, good shower. Two decent pubs in the village with good food, a little play park at the bottom of the hill for young kids and walks in fields surrounding the cottage which the dog enjoyed too. You can walk to Seaton along the cliff top. The tram from Seaton is good fun. Trips to Lyme Regis and Beer, fossil hunting on Charmouth Beach, River Cottage Café in Axminster, the Mill Bakery for a fantastic breakfast amongst many other things made it a very enjoyable holiday. Beautiful, peaceful location for a lovely holiday. Mixed weather but 2 absolutely stunning sunny days for walking, beach and swimming. Enjoyed the views and the garden- very nice to sit with a cuppa and watch the birds coming and going. Cottage very sympathetically refurbished. Very good Wi- Fi for teenagers. Nice and warm. We enjoyed our stay at Atlasta, the house is very comfortable and had all the facilities needed. It would be great if there were 2 gates to secure the garden for the dogs. 2017
