In the village there is the Old Bakery Tea Rooms, Mill, museum, working forge and two traditional inns ‘The Masons Arms’ opposite, a little further to ‘The Fountain Head’, both serving good food and local brews.

The popular coastal town of Sidmouth with Esplanade and a splendid variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, cinema, theatre golf course and indoor swimming pool is a 10-minute drive. In the other direction Lyme Regis famous for fossil hunting is only a 15-minute drive.

An ideal coastal holiday cottage throughout the year.

Our first time booking a cottage and it was superb. The Cottage and its location is an idyll from where we relaxed or explored surrounding areas including South Devon and Dorset too. The Cottage is beautifully presented and the attention to detail in the decor and accessories is faultless. If I do eventually write my book this would be my choice to completely chill and unwind. The description of the property is spot on and for us it was the highlight of what was an unforgettable experience in a stunning location! Jude C, September 2017
Hello, we are sad that our week in The Cottage is nearly over now. We enjoyed it very much here. Dagmar and Pete, October 2016
