Most delightful stone built cottage, one of two converted from the old coach house, situated in a pretty Devon countryside and valley setting. The cottage is situated in a cobbled courtyard, down the private driveway of Furzeleigh House, a country estate, steeped in history, on the edge of this popular town, near Lyme Regis.
Accommodation:Attractively furnished to a very good standard. Light and bright, with some beamed ceilings.
Entrance lobby into well-fitted and equipped Kitchen. Rear door to enclosed pretty garden with patio overlooking fields, (dependant on time of year sheep may be in the fields) and lovely valley views, garden table and chairs. Gate leads onto fields and pond. Sitting room/dining area with table and chairs, feature fireplace with electric wood burning effect fire.
Ground floor: Bedroom 1: Double.

Guests can enjoy Furzeleigh’s 37 acres of beautiful grounds and are free to roam the woodland paths. An abundance of wildlife including deer, numerous birds and pheasants. Care with children – brook and ponds.
Parking: Ample parking in private car park, only a minute walk, to the cottages.
Additional information: Saturday changeover. Regret no pets. No smoking in property please. Check in from 3 pm. Check out by 10 am. In addition to the central heating, the lounge electric fire operates on £1 coins, after the allowance of £10 has been used. Access information available on request. Care with children – brook and ponds. Please note the cottage is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
The town centre is just a 5-minute drive with the famous Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstalls ‘River Cottage Canteen’. Browse the individual interesting specialist shops, restaurant, cafes, inns and weekly street market. Indoor Flamingo swimming pool also only a 5-minute drive. Located a couple of minutes drive away is the popular The Hunters Lodge Inn. An easy 5-minute drive to Park Farm River Cottage HQ, where cookery courses and evening events are held.
Excellent holiday situation, only a 10-minute drive to the charming seaside town of Lyme Regis, on the Jurassic Coast, with famous historic Cobb, local shops, restaurants (fish a specialty) and all amenities. Relax in Lyme’s beautifully landscaped Langmoor Gardens with outstanding views of Lyme Bay. Nearby you can visit the working town mill and sample delicious delights from the bakery then work it off on a climb up Golden Cap, the highest point of the Jurassic Coast. Steeped in history, Lyme Regis offers a variety of activities – fossil hunting, fishing trips, a cliff top golf course, coastal walks along the Undercliff Nature Reserve to Seaton then in the opposite direction to Charmouth with a Heritage Coast Centre.
A 15-minute drive to the coastal town of Seaton with Seaton Jurassic Centre and the pretty fishing village of Beer, all with outstanding cliff top walks along the South West Coast path, also many riverside walks along the nearby Axe Valley.
An excellent base to explore Dorset, Devon and Somerset.
