Carefully renovated, refurbished and attractively furnished to a very good standard, retaining period features.

Entrance into Hall with original tiled flooring. Sitting room with gas fire, window seat and original parquet floor, glass doors lead into spacious Dining room with table and chairs. Sliding door leads out to enclosed patio area and large grassed garden. Well-fitted Kitchen with granite worktops, overlooking the rear garden. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer leads to Cloakroom: WC, wash hand basin.

Bedroom 1: Zip and link, can be made up to either a 6′ bed or twin beds.

Bedroom 2: Double, over looking rear garden.

Parking: Garage + parking on drive for one small/medium car + street parking in the road opposite. Also parking in nearby local town car park, 2-minute walk away, reasonable priced weekly ticket £25 pw which entitles parking in other East Devon District Council car parks.

Additional information:

Saturday changeover. Arrival from 2pm. Departure by 10am. Well-behaved small pets welcome, £25 pw or part week.  Access information available on request. No smoking in property please.

Location and Area:

Under a 5-minute walk to Seaton seafront and beach with mile long Esplanade a little further to the picturesque harbour and golf course. A variety of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes are only a couple of minutes walk away.

An ideal location for walkers with stunning spectacular coastal footpaths over the cliff tops. The Jurassic Coast Centre and the Seaton Wetlands, made up of 4 Local Nature reserves are all a 5-minute walk. The quaint fishing village of Beer is under a 10-minute drive with the Quarry Caves and Pecorama model railway/pleasure gardens. The famous Donkey Sanctuary at Weston is a 15-minute drive.

The popular Regency coastal town of Sidmouth with Esplanade and splendid variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, cinema, theatre and indoor swimming pool is a 15-minute drive. In the other direction Lyme Regis, known as ‘The Pearl of Dorset’ famous for fossil hunting is a 15-minute drive.

We have had a wonderful stay at “Dalmose” and in Seaton. All three generations (my son and I, plus my parents) found the house to be clean, comfy and very generously proportioned. The owners go the extra mile (welcome pack and a callout for help one morning) which was greatly appreciated. We’ve been coming to Seaton since I was young and this time around with my three year old we enjoyed Pecorama, the Donkey Sanctuary, the Tramway, Lyme Regis, Seaton beach and made very good use of parks and lovely garden at “Dalmose”. We loved Frydays for fish and chips and the bakery just around the corner is great for bread and cakes. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dalmose and hope to return again. August 2018

A lovely super base for our holiday in Seaton. Very convenient for all local amenities. The house is very clean and comfortable. We would recommend The Hideaway café on the front, very good local organic produce. Also Finishing Touches (opposite The Original Factory Shop) for great cake and coffee. We walked to Beer, which was a lovely walk and visited Sidmouth for its shops. Crabbing was good down at the harbour, with a good café and bait shop. We played mini golf (reasonable and good fun) and were welcomed at the bowls club who were happy for us to use the green. All of this was in walking distance. The local fishmonger was great and very helpful. For a good local with a pool table and beer garden try The Royal Clarence or for a quirky twist go to “The Hat” for a gin or local ale/cider, but remember to turn your phone off! August 2018
