The cottage is lovely and looks like it has recently been refurbished to a good standard. Very comfortable and cosy with good facilities and everything you need for a short break or holiday. We found the village location very convenient with local shops, post office and pubs all within a short walk. Reserved off road parking right outside the front door. We found the location ideal for exploring the local area. The seafront at Seaton is only a short 10-minute drive away. TS 10th – 14th June 2019
Very nice cottage, well laid out and furnished. Excellent base for touring the East Devon and Dorset coastal areas. The Donkey Sanctuary is well worth a visit, free to enter, good food in the café and dog friendly. We enjoyed our visit to Exmouth, with its sandy dog friendly beach and great views, so had to visit again. The walk along the River Coly to Colyton was lovely. Nice scenery and a good dog walk. We enjoyed our fish and chip lunch at the Kingfisher Pub in Colyton that is dog friendly. The White Hart pub in Colyford is also dog friendly, with excellent real ale. All in all a very good week had. Thank you. Sara, Steve and Jack 4 May – 11 May 2019
Lovely clean cottage. Ideal base for visiting local beaches. Weather not too bad. We are from Yorkshire so rain is the norm for us! Air Museum in Yeovil was fab. Jo, Rich, Stanley and Bamboo 20 – 27 April 2019
Cottage is lovely! Very clean and nicely furnished. Good position to visit many places in the area. Loved to walk down to the Post Office for milk in the mornings with the dogs (unfortunately nowhere to walk off lead near the cottage). Great river walk in Colyton, dogs loved it and had a paddle. Recommend the Ship Inn in Axmouth. Food and service excellent, nice garden too.
Thank you. Connie, Dhirley, Clement and Bailey 15 – 20 April 2019
Really loved the cottage, very well appointed – even got used to the traffic! Lots of local walks and places to visit. Donkey Sanctuary is a favourite! Hope to come again. Joyce, Peter and Pepi the Poodle 16 – 23 March 2019
Lovely cottage – ideal for 2 people. Nice Village, only one pub but another opened on our last night. Ideally situated for touring along the Devon/Dorset coast. Lots of lovely coastal walks nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. September 2018
We have had a lovely week here. The Cottage is great, and ideally placed for touring. The weather has been kind (only rained on Wednesday). Visited National Trust and had some beautiful walks. Would recommend the kingfisher pub in Colyton for food, and the walk up to Golden Cap, near Seatown is a must! September, 2018
A wonderful place to stay and explore the amazing coastline and scenery. We’ve had an absolutely fantastic week exploring the area and will surely be back for more. Would highly recommend a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary and catching the bus (don’t drive to Branscombe). We stayed here last year and had to come back to explore a little more! August 2018
Good location for shops, pubs and coastal path. Public transport was also good if you need it. Great weather helped us enjoy the walking which we did every day. There was also a lot of history to explore when we wanted a change from walking. The cottage was lovely, newly refurbished I think. The tea, coffee and milk were all very welcome. April 2018
