The largest local Nature Reserve in Devon, huge area of tidal sand and mud south of the Exe Estuary. Spectacular sight of birds throughout the year. 

THINGS TO SEE & DO IN EXMOUTH 

The East Devon Way -  A memorable walking experience commencing in Exmouth meanandering inland through the small villages and towns to Lyme Regis in Dorset.  The 40 mile route takes in footpaths and quiet country lanes giving spectacular views.  The route is clearly marked with the fox glove symbol.  Part of the East Devon Way 'The Weasel Run' can be found alongside the Nature Reserve, accessible to wheelchairs.

 EXMOUTH BEACH South facing two miles of flat sandy beach.

DOGS ON BEACH No dogs on beach 1st May to 30th September between the most easterly groyne at Maer Rocks in the east to a point opposite the Octagon in the West.

BUDLEIGH SALTERTON - A charming seaside town with a stunning panoramic two mile pebble beach.  The Parade runs parallel to the beach, ideal for a stroll in this tranquil setting.  Good selection of unique shops.  Spectacular red cliffs frame the Bay.  Budleigh Saltertons name derives from the time when salt was extracted from the sea water by the monks at Otterton.  Cyclists can travel along the Buzzard Way to Exmouth.
