The coastal town of Lyme Regis, with its famous harbour, known as the Cobb, of the French Lieutenant fame, interesting individual specialist shops and cinema is under a 15 minute drive.  A little further onto Charmouth with the Heritage Coast Centre offering fossil hunting walks, rock pool rambles and special marine events.  The market town of Axminster with interesting shops and TV chef Hugh Fearnely-Whittingstall's River Cottage Canteen and indoor swimming pool is also only a 15 minute drive.  An ideal cottage to enjoy the nearby coastal resorts and explore all the beautiful and interesting surrounding countryside.

Customer reviews:

3-8 JUNE 2017  Thank you for the use of your beautiful house – it was a real home from home. The gifts of eggs, milk and scones were a touch of class and most welcome after the journey down.  We will definitely look to come back and hope for slightly better weather next time.  Best wishes, Paget, Ray, Max, Ali and Poppy the dog.

1st May 2017  Thank you for a fantastic stay at The Dairy. Beautiful accommodation with lots of extra touches to make the stay special.  We loved exploring the local area- Beer was a favourite.  The Forsyth’s from London and Sydney, Australia

15-22 April 2017  There’s a running theme throughout the book about how wonderful The Dairy is……….and we absolutely agree with everything!  Lovely welcome pack, spotless home and very well equipped. We have really enjoyed staying here (as we usually think something is missing ). The weather has been kind too mostly sunny allowing us to visit Pecorama, ride the Seaton tram, walk parts of the coastal path and play on the beach at Lyme Regis ….. all with a toddler in tow.  A lovely welcome holiday home to come back to at the end of each day.  The Smiths – Bristol

11-18 Feb 2017  Thank you Andrea we have enjoyed a fab week here at The Dairy.   Thanks for the welcome pack. A lovely place and a real home from home.  It was well equipped and made our stay special.  Would definitely recommend The Ship at Axmouth for excellent food.  Nice day out at Monkey World, a trip to Lyme Regis, Donkey Sanctuary, Sidmouth but always loved coming back to The Dairy.  Will be recommending to all family and friends and would like to come back and stay.  Thanks.  Sue, Roy, Sharon and Martin. Newport, South Wales

27-30 January 2017  What an amazing weekend. The Dairy made for a fabulous base for our weekend plans and superbly well equipped. Even in this short time we have found a frim favourite in The Harbour pub in Axmouth which as great for food, drink and doggies- such friendly staff.  Highly recommend the Donkey Sanctuary, all very educational and free (donations welcome) and a piggie morning at Smallicombe Farm which had us in fits as we chased the pigs and lambs about.  Thank you Andrea for The Dairy, it has been like a home from home.  Matt, Rebecca, Charlotte, Paul and Charlie the boxer.

2-9 January 2017  Had a fab time as The Dairy.  Loads of walking and exploring- Beer, Seaton, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Colyton and Budleigh Salterton.  We had enough jam, cream and butter for a cream tea every day, with a variety of local scones—lovely.  The area is beautiful with different places to see every day. Local people always friendly and happy to help.  After a day walking and exploring back to your lovely cottage, we have been comfortable and spoilt with your lovely home.  Thank you for your lovely environment and considerate gifts to start our holiday.  Pat, Paul and dogs

December 2016  Thank you. It’s a lovely cottage and we had a restful post-Christmas rest. Lunch and walks in the wonderful sunshine.  Heather and Alan and Finn
