A cosy 13th century listed stone Barn, full of character and charm situated in the heart of the pretty seaside village of BranscombeA stunning location with panoramic views overlooking a large attractive garden, the wooded National Trust valley and St Winifred's Church,13th century. 

 

The spectacular beach with the thatched Sea Shanty shop, restaurant and tea rooms located just off the beach less than 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk through National Trust meadows.  The popular 'Fountain Head' traditional inn of character, serving good food and local brews, the National Trust Bakery - enjoy a traditional Devon cream tea, Manor Mill, and the Old Forge (watch the Blacksmith at work) are a 5 minute walk away.  The garden is Branscombe's hidden gem.

 

Accommodation: Atmospheric, comfortable and homely, with some original beams.  Steps down to entrance, through the side garden into open plan Lounge/Dining and Kitchen areas with electric wood burner.  French doors to large terrace and extensive excellently maintained gardens with many beautiful flowers, 4 ponds, stream and a dovecot.  Watch the deer and cows come to the field opposite to feed in the afternoon. One step down to Bedroom 1:  Double, fantastic views.

Quirky small steep open tread ladder staircase from double bedroom leads to open Bedroom 2:  Twin, leading through to Shower Room: Shower, Basin, WC.

 

Facilities:  Bed linen and towels inclusive.  Electricity/electric heating storage heaters + 2 x electric wood burners, inclusive.  Electric cooker. Microwave. Fridge/freezer.Washing machine.   TVDVD.   

 

Outside Facilities:  Allocated parking space by the Barn. Plenty of garden furniture.  Barbeque.  The gardens are fully enclosed. 

 

Additional information: Pets most welcome, but must be kept under control, a fixed charge of  £25 pw or part week per pet. Arrival from: 2pmDeparture from: 10am

 

Further Additional information:  Small children to be supervised at all time.  Not suitable for very young children or the less mobile/elderly.  Low ceiling and doorway to  Bedroom 1.

Due to the situation of access to the Shower Room through Bedroom 2 the cottage is only suitable for couples/small families.

Please note the owner has daily access to the large garden to feed the doves and to tend the garden.  The owner will respect your privacy.  Part of the large garden is fenced off and open to the public with donations for a local charity.
