Ideal holiday bungalow in the seaside town of Seaton, Devon.  Dog friendly with large enclosed rear garden.

Delightful semi-detached bungalow, well positioned and very well presented in a residential area of this popular small seaside town, Seaton on the Jurassic Coast. Under a 5-minute drive to the superb mile long beach with Esplanade, Axe Harbour, cliff top golf course, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes. The Jurassic Coast Centre and the Seaton Wetlands, made up of 4 Local Nature Reserves with viewing hide, are all within walking distance. The quaint fishing village of Beer is under a 10-minute drive with the Quarry Caves and Pecorama model railway/pleasure gardens. The famous Donkey Sanctuary at Weston is also a 10-minute drive.

The popular Regency coastal town of Sidmouth with Esplanade and splendid variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, indoor swimming pool, cinema and theatre is a 15-minute drive. In the other direction Lyme Regis, known as 'The Pearl of Dorset' famous for its historical Cobb is a 15-minute drive. An ideal location for a quiet retreat or for the more energetic for walkers with stunning spectacular coastal footpaths over the cliff tops and exploring the many delights on the Devon/Dorset border.

Accommodation:   Most comfortable and homely. Five steps with handrail to entrance. Hall. Lounge with dining table and chairs. Kitchen leading to breakfast room with table and chairs. Door, 3 steps down to the large rear enclosed garden. Bedroom 1: Twin.   Bedroom 2: Double, 4'.   Bathroom: Bath, over-bath shower, basin, WC, heated towel rail.

Facilities:   Bed linen and towels inclusive. Electricity/gas/central heating inclusive. Gas hob and electric oven. Microwave. Fridge with icebox. TV. DVD. Radio. Hairdryer. Iron and ironing board. Children's games. If required a stair gate, ideal for dog owners to use in between the kitchen and breakfast room. Free wi-fi.

Outdoor Facilities:  Enclosed rear grassed south facing garden with patio.  Garden chairs.  Secure shed for bikes, beach equipment and extra storage.

Parking: on drive for one car, to the left of the front garden of the property.

Additional information: Friday changeover. Small/medium pets welcome.  Local shop within walking distance. Local Hopper bus service operates a circular route to the seafront and town.  Short breaks out of season, excluding school holidays.

25 August to 1st September 2017  Lovely bungalow, very welcome coffee on arrival. Nice touch after a long hot journey. Lovely peaceful accommodation and a very relaxing week. Eddie (the dog) absolutely loved the garden. Very big thank you.  Joy, Barry, Lynn and Eddie (Airedale)

12-19 May 2017  Very cosy and clean. Dog Jack as content in the garden- used your rain barrel to hose him down before coming in the house. Just at the entrance to golf course at Axe Harbour there’s parking on the road a few paces from Coastal Path (go straight up). Highly recommend even if a short jaunt. House has everything we need – love that there are plants. Many thanks for the last minute accommodation. Milkbere was lovely.  All the best, Di and Jack USA


April 2017 - We have had a very enjoyable week here at Strathwood. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable and there was everything here that we needed. It was nice to have the outside space as the weather has been so good.  At Ottery St Mary we found the Otter Garden Centre, a huge display of indoor and outdoor plants plus clothing, shoe and household departments and very good food in the restaurant.  P& B Gillard and Oscar the dog.        Sheffield
