Branscombe, Devon

Branscombe is part of the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the most picturesque villages in East Devon, located between Seaton and Sidmouth on the South Coast.

Branscombe, a small peaceful Devon village, is one of the longest in the country surrounded by National Trust land, spectacular cliffs, downs and wooded coombes.  The streets sweep down through the stunning valley to the sea, lined with colourful cottages and thatched buildings.

A village footpath meanders thought the National Trust meadows leading to the beach and cliffs, part of the South West Coast Path with stunning sea views.

On the seafront there is the enormous anchor from the MCS Napoli which ran aground in the bay in2007.  On the beach at low tide rock pools appear where you will find crabs, anemone and starfish, including other seaside creatures.
